We are a company of Women that offers our Time, Talent, and Treasures to mobilize the Body of Christ for Outreach Missions in our Community

Our Story

Two Girls and a Bible started as a vision given to the founder, Jennifer C. Tabora, in 2012. Having been a child of an addict and redeemed by Christ, she knew she could do more to encourage women to stay in recovery and help rebuild the family unit from the ashes of trauma caused by addiction.

She met her co-founder, Kimberly Receveur, in 2017, and built a friendship over the years. Together they launched the vision in 2020 after having written her story, The Something Shiney Journey.

The team of women the Lord continues to develop have a heart to unify the Body of Christ through collaborative efforts to reach women in crisis centers, shelters, and recovery groups. Creating community partners with the local church, home groups, and Christian-based businesses allows us a unique opportunity to see the gaps in services offered to our community. We are bridging that gap between the resources and those who need them most—our collaborative efforts support “the Ministry After.” Which helps rebuild families from the ashes of trauma.

Recovery from trauma-based chaotic environments, familial influences, and genetic predispositions is a long-term process. Our efforts to encourage their continued journey with Christ in every area of their lives is a priority.

Our heart is to see each one pursue their purpose in the promise they received through Christ Jesus. We do this through continued biblical mentorships, classes, scholarship programs, and hands on partnerships.

Presence is the difference between bondage and transformation

Two Girls and a Bible Inc. is publicly funded 501c3 charitable organization founded in 2020 by a child of addiction. Today we continue to meet women overcoming crisis to offer them Hope in a transformed life, and help to rebuild their lives from the ashes of trauma and addiction with Christ as the Center focus.

Two Girls and a Bible showing up to my recovery group has helped me tremendously. If it wasn’t for them I would have quit the program by now, but their continued support, love, and the way they share Jesus so openly has helped change my life.

When I was asked if I thought God loved me, something broke in me when I realized I didn’t think He did! I was so happy to realize I was wrong!
